B&V Baby Shower

Our fourth & final baby shower was given yesterday by Sam's work team. They were so generous & I am so sad I couldn't attend! Luckily, someone took pictures. I am quite entertained by seeing pictures of Sam opening & holding up baby gifts! I don't know why I get such a kick out of it... but I do! Hehe...

The cake looks delicious & cute. What a good sport Sam is. I don't know if my husband would of posed for baby shower gifts, he's too much of a wuss. Very cute indeed.

What a good husband you have...and what a good company he works for to have a baby shower for you guys. Andy's work never did anything. Looks like you got hooked up though...I think you will be ready for these babies to come! And another double stroller....awesome!

Hilarious!! Way to be there for your wife Sam!! :) I'm sorry you couldn't be there either. :( How nice of Sam's work! That cake is adorable!! See you on Sunday!! I can't wait. Are you sure you still want me to come even with your mom being there visiting?? I don't want to take away your time with her.

wow! what a beautiful cake. What a great place to work. Sad you missed out but at least Sam got to have fun and feel extra special. I'm glad your mom is coming! She'll be glad to be here too and see you. What are you doing tomorrow? Any visitors planned? I worked so much this week that I'm almost over my hours (I can't work more than 28 b/c if I do then I'm considered full time)

How fun! Sam looks like he is having fun! We all know how us Oldroyds love to be the center of attention! haha- But it looks like his work took good care of you two! That is so nice! Only 4 more days till Monday! I am so excited you would think I'm having the baby already! (today it feels like not soon enough!) Hang in there! Love ya!

Sam really does look like he's trying to figure out what the heck those presents are and what they are for! That really cracks me up. He reminds me so much of my brother Jeff and cousin Steve. They have the same looks on their faces and the same posturing! We were talking about that over the weekend when we were in St. George visiting with Steve. What a nice work to give you guys a party. 37 Weeks 2 Days

It's almost the end! I saw Dr. Adam last Thursday and I'm starting to spill protein and swell a little. But my BP is good! So we'll see what happens when I see her this Thursday. We may have to deliver early! I have mixed feelings about that because I really wanted to make it to 39 weeks, and my parents can't come until the 14th. But Sam is worried about my kidneys. So we'll see. Baby girl was 6.5 lbs last week. Even if she comes this week, she'll probably be about 7 lbs! Me on the other hand... I've gained 40 lbs! I have 5 lbs to go to be where I was with my other deliveries. Let's see if I get there! :)

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU. She should get to move to the normal nursery tomorrow m...
