The Oldroyd Family

I spent my day with a handy-man dude while he installed my new dishwasher, kitchen sink & faucet, as well as the bathroom faucet!  It ended up being a bigger ta-doo than I thought it would be {and OF COURSE more mulla} but I am so thrilled with the results! {Kitchen}  BEFORE    {Kitchen}  AFTER {Bathroom} BEFORE & AFTER And 2 of my cuties {they wanted their picture taken too}

We have a beautiful vegetable garden out back that I can take absolutely no credit for.  Sam & his dad take care of it all!  We're clearing out our winter garden to make room for the summer garden so the kids & I spent the afternoon outside picking all of the peas & carrots.  They were such good helpers cleaning the carrots and taking the stems off.  And they loved eating them too!  What a beautiful day outside!

Grandpa Great & Grammy {Partridge} came to see us this weekend.  The past 3 years, they've made it down in March to visit us in Texas!  They DRIVE here!  They're not your average great grandparents.  They run around with the kids & are so much fun!  I even put them to work during this trip-- they helped me plant flowers in the yard! I am one lucky girl to have such wonderful grandparents.  I am SO grateful that my kids love & know them.  We can't wait for the next visit!  Love you Grandpa Great & Grammy!!

I FINALLY finished decorating Max's room! My mom is coming for a visit (flies in today!) & since this is her room too :) I wanted to finish it. I usually don't post a million (ok, eight) pictures right in a row but I wanted to be able to see the detail! For those of you just tuning in, you can read about my adventures with painting Max's room here . Like she did for Nathan & Alexa, my friend Tiffany made Max's name for his room! And the quilt laying over the side of the crib was made by my mom. Words can't express how in love with it I am! These photos are courtesy of my very talented sister, Amanda ! It took a lot of looking around to find the perfect collage frame (with horizontal pictures)-- & they only had black! So I spray painted it & voilà ! Max finally has a crib! We seem to have crib troubles at the Oldroyd house. The cribs we had first for Nathan & Alexa were recalled, then the ones we ordered in replacement arrived damaged... TWICE! We finally got new cribs for them that worked. Then the crib we got from my sister for Max was ALSO recalled... so we had to order a new one! It arrived yesterday & Sam set it up tonight. I am THRILLED to finally be able to get his nursery & cute bedding put together. I'll take pictures when its finally done!
