33 Weeks!

We made it to the 33 week mark yesterday! Nothing really new to report... I've needed some shots the last few days but it's mostly been calm. I've had some really fun visitors too! I have such great friends, I'm so grateful! Seriously, nothing makes the days go by faster than having visitors. My wonderful mother-in-law comes almost every single day. It's a long drive & a big sacrifice for such a busy lady-- she's the best & I love her! She & Marianne also take care of the dogs. I just don't know what I'd do without them!

Here are some pictures Sam took yesterday. Since the babies aren't gaining much & I haven't gained any weight back from loosing it the first week here, it's not too different... but somehow my stretch marks keep growing! How does that work?.Some exciting news is that my mom is coming! She's flying in on Saturday & can stay until Friday morning (the 25th). We're anticipating the babies to come next week so she wants to be here for that-- I hope it works out! She'll be back a week later, on August 2nd, for the entire month to help me out (thank goodness for moms!)!

you are having twins and still looking HOT!! well done! i'm thinking about you all the time and hope everything is going good. wish i could come and visit you! but we'll see you soon...after you become a mom! WAHOO!!

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU.
