Maxwell's last day of school

Image
Today was Max's last day of school for the year.  I got to go see the kids do a short little program and they were so adorable!  Max had a great year.  He has enjoyed school so much, especially this semester as they have focused on animals with each lesson!  He has learned to write his name, has learned his colors & shapes, and a lot of songs and fun facts about animals.  We're working with him at home on some basic reading and he's doing so well!  Max loves his friends at school, and loves his teacher, Ms. Vanessa.  We look forward to a great year next year!

36 Weeks

Here we are at 36 weeks (on Sunday)! We had our appointment with Dr. Adam today.  Everything is still looking pretty good.  I did have some protein show up in my sample, but just a little.  My blood pressure is still really good.  I'm swelling some in my fingers and ankles but nothing unusual for someone in their last bit of pregnancy. Dr. Adam is concerned with how often I have hard contractions.  They're just Braxton Hicks and don't go anywhere, but it's a risk since I've had C-Sections.  As I get bigger, the contractions put more pressure on my previous incision and scar.  Because of this, she's going to deliver me in my 38th week instead of my 39th.  I'm not scheduled yet, but hopefully I'll know what date it will be when I go in next Tuesday! Can't wait to be done being pregnant & I really can't wait to meet this baby boy!

Here is me with my big 34 week belly! I had an appointment today with Dr. Adam and everything is still going pretty great!  My kidneys are healthy, blood pressure is low... and then there's my weight.  Well, we won't talk about that! Baby Boy looks fantastic.  He is estimated to be 5 lbs 10 oz. but his head is off the charts for percentile so... he's probably not actually that weight.  I love my Oldroyd boys and their big heads! The highlight of the appointment was getting this 3D shot of him smiling.  He is so adorable and I can't wait to meet him! Dr. Adam did say that things were progressing and I needed to slow down.  I know I've been doing too much with the home renovations and I could tell my contractions were getting more serious.  Then that night, after ignoring my instructions so I could put my laundry room back together, my contractions got to about 3-5 minutes apart.  They weren't painful and stopped when I laid down, but I ...
