Look who's 2 months old!!!

I know it's so cliche, but I really can't believe it's been 2 months! Then in other ways, I can't believe it's ONLY been 2 months! Nathan & Alexa have brought endless amounts of joy into my life & have taught me so much.

They both have recently started cooing & giving out REAL smiles. I can't wait for them to become even more interactive & learn to do new things.

The 3 of us had an adventure today... we went to the grocery store with NO help! I had a short list & thought it was a good time to give it a shot. It went just great! I had Alexa in the Baby Bjorn & Nathan in his car seat on the cart. We had success!

They go to the doctor on Tuesday for their check up (and SHOTS :( ) so I'll be posting their stats then. I can't wait to see exactly how much they've grown!

I can totally relate to you on the whoa, they're 2 months...and ahhh, they're 2 months! It's the same with Zac...but the nicest thing about it is that I've forgotten what it feels like to be pregnant. HA!!! I love this stage of life and when they start to interact with people. Congrats on the successful grocery trip. I'm rooting for ya on all your future adventures together!

2 months?! Crazy how time flies by! They are just "two" cute. :) Way to go on your 1st outing! Many people don't realize what a huge sucess that truly is. :) Hope you have been more outings that go just as well.

They are so adorable! My girls and I love to get on and see the pictures that you post. My girls think the babies are "sooooo cute" as they say every time we get on. 2 months! Wow.. Time flies. Before you know it they'll be celebrating their 1 year and walking everywhere...and then they'll be 12 and entering Young Men/Women's! ahhh... Love, Allyson

Yeah 2 months! They are so adorable! Just did the first time grocery thing myself on Friday. I think I'll try your method next time because I tried the stroller and the cart and it wasn't fun.

I can't believe they are two months either! They are so cute! Oh, and about my post on dogs, you are probably right about not all dogs chewing shoes, but all the dogs I have been around do. I'm sure if I was around your dogs for a while I wouldn't have such negative feelings about dogs. They seem pretty well behaved! :)

37 Weeks 2 Days

It's almost the end! I saw Dr. Adam last Thursday and I'm starting to spill protein and swell a little. But my BP is good! So we'll see what happens when I see her this Thursday. We may have to deliver early! I have mixed feelings about that because I really wanted to make it to 39 weeks, and my parents can't come until the 14th. But Sam is worried about my kidneys. So we'll see. Baby girl was 6.5 lbs last week. Even if she comes this week, she'll probably be about 7 lbs! Me on the other hand... I've gained 40 lbs! I have 5 lbs to go to be where I was with my other deliveries. Let's see if I get there! :)

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU. She should get to move to the normal nursery tomorrow m...
