Fun at Home & 1st Pedi Visit

Here are some pictures I took at the hospital before we brought Max home. He looked so handsome in his outfit!
It's been fun to be home & adjust to life with 3 kids. Things are in no way normal... I still can't do hardly anything to care for Nathan & Alexa but have my mom & Sam here at all times to help. Boy will I miss that!

Nathan & Alexa are very sweet with Max. They like to look at him & occasionally give him kisses but are pretty good about keeping their distance. No jealousy has set in (yet) so that's been good. They're young enough that they won't even remember what it was like before he came!
Today Max had his first bath at home. He cried a little bit when I was washing his body but was calm for the most part. He really is such a content baby. Don't you just want to kiss that sweet little face?!?!Lastly, Max's first visit to the pediatrician was today. She said that he looks just perfect, and we couldn't agree more. Here are his stats:
Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz. (6th-10th %)
Length: 20 in. (18th-22nd %)
Head Circumference: 14 in. (33rd-38th %)

Glad home life is going well thus far. How are you feeling? I cannot wait to meet sweet little Max! That picture of him after the bath with the hooded towel over his head, looks JUST like Alexa to me. What a handsome little guy!

he is such a doll! I did enjoy having my kids close together for that same reason, Scoty just didnt know what life was like before Sister came around....it was a pretty easy transition, not perfect, but pretty easy!

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU.
