18 Months Old

Nathan & Alexa were 18-months-old on February 4th. Wow, how the time flies! 18 months is a big deal... those of you who are LDS know why... they can go into nursery at church! While I'm not excited about the extra germs & snotty noses, it was so nice to enjoy my Sunday classes without chasing two toddlers around. I will only get a short break but 1 baby will be easier than 2 (I hope)! N & A did pretty well in nursery. It helped to have their cousin, Savannah, in there with them!

I took them to the pediatrician this morning & here are their stats:

Nathan: 22 lbs. 5 oz (7th%), 32 in. tall (36st %) & 19 in. head circumference (75th %)
Alexa: 19 lbs. 12 oz. (3rd %), 30 in. tall (26th%) & 18 in. head circumference (61st %)

So Nathan actually lost an oz & Alexa is still the same percentile but STILL not 20 lbs! But they're both following their own little growth curve & doing great! Click Here to see their 15 month stats.

Here are some fun facts about my two little monkeys:

Nathan took a while to walk but now he RUNS. He jabbers a lot & will try to repeat almost anything. He answers questions with either "Uh huh" or "No!" and is very interested in the world around him. He loves to ask, "Wow, wow, wow... Wuz Dat?" He has a deafening high pitch scream. He gets very silly, especially when he's tired, is very kind to his sister & always brings her sippy cup to her before he finds his. He loves to give loves, smoochies & love pats. He is also our emotional child & screams & cries instead of fighting back when Sissy is being a bully. Whenever he gets put in time out, he asks to get "out" over & over again until the timer goes off. Nathan will eat almost anything-- & lots of it (I have no idea how he lost weight). He is completely obsessed with his baba (binky) & asks for it incessantly throughout the day. He is so easy to love & is still, as always, a Daddy's boy.

Alexa is our sassy but sweet little princess. Her language has taken off the past several weeks & she speaks words clearly. She LOVES animals & calls everything a puppy. She has gotten really into "babies." She loves her babies, loves to pull my shirt up to "see baby brother" & loves to look at pictures & videos on the computer from when she & Brother were babies. Alexa is very silly & not the more coordinated little girl in the world, so she often has pumps & bruises. She is trying lately to put clothes on herself. She's a little stinker & loves to tease her brother & smile while being naughty. She's gotten quite bossy lately & loves to shake her finger & say, "No, no!" She's a cuddler & wakes up happy. She's a picky eater with a sweet tooth. She is still more of a Mama's girl, which is just fine with me!

I have been blessed with two wonderful kids. They are happy, healthy & loving. Best of all, they have each other. They are best friends & can make each other giggle harder than any one else. It puts my mind at ease knowing that they will go through their growing up years always having each other to lean on!

Yay!! I'm sure one child is easier than two... but one is NOT easy! One of us usually ends up in the hall because Chloe will not sit still, and is not quiet... amazing how loud she can be when she doesn't use ANY words! Chloe is my "little" baby, she's the same age as yours and was only 22 lbs at 16 months. I'm OK with them staying little! Your kids are both absolutely adorable!!! :)
