Puerto Vallarta Pics
We really did have such a great time. We stayed at a resort called Villa del Palmar Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, which is just north of Puerto Vallarta. The hotel was gorgeous. It was right on the beach & every balcony offered a beautiful view of the pool & the Pacific.
Vacationing with babies is definitly a new experience. We were fortunate that they really enjoyed the pool. We didn't spend a ton of time there each day, hence the reason we're all still as white as Casper, but the time we did spend there was a lot of fun. Nathan & Alexa looked ADORABLE in their swim gear!
Our nephew, Luke, celebrated his 1st Birthday on January 17th! It was so fun seeing him opening his presents & dive into his first cake! He got a swim suit from Gma & Gpa that matches Nathan's & we gave him the book, "A Monster at the End of This Book" which is one that my dad read to us as kids. It was a hit!
One of the neatest things we did there was go on an AWESOME whale watch. We (minus the little ones & Gma) were on a motorized raft (yes, me on a raft... in the ocean... amazing I know) with a funny tour guide looking for giant humpback whales. The first sighting came right away & we were fortunate enough to see a mother & her baby! All in all, we saw about 20 whales. They are amazing & majestic creatures. It was a once in a lifetime experience that a camera just can't do justice!
Family time is always great & we enjoyed every minute of it. Alexa & Nathan have loved spending so much time with Grandpa & Grandma Partridge. Thank you Mom & Dad for a wonderful trip!
