Better late than never, I always say

Alexa FINALLY rolled over from tummy to back (on purpose) today! Yay Lexie! The girl has some bad motor-skills genes thanks to yours truly. I didn't walk until 17 months. Nathan, however is rolling both from tummy to back & visa versa. He's going to be all over the place here pretty soon. Fun for me! Anyhow, here are some pics of Lex having some tummy time (nice drool, huh?) then a video of her rolling. Isn't she adorable in her little black stretch pants?? I love em.


And because I can't post something about Lexie without posting something about Nathan, I wanted to post these pictures that just crack me up. When we were packing up to leave Mexico, my dad (Nathan's favorite person in the WHOLE world) gave him a ride on the rolling suit case. It was hilarious!
Finally, I wanted to post a pic of the "Baby's First Christmas" ornaments that I ordered for the babies. I wanted to get them some because I have an ornament from my first Christmas that means a lot to me. Of course I procrastinated looking for one & by the time I did, I couldn't find any in stores. So last week I got on the internet & found a great website that personalizes handcrafted ornaments for a VERY reasonable price. So here they are! They weren't actually on the tree for their 1st Christmas but oh well. They came in the mail today & I really love how they turned out.

Ethan didn't walk til' he was 17 months either! I love how Alexa ALWAYS wears a bow. And my kids think Nathan has the coolest hair in town. They watch for him every Sunday.

Yay Lexie! That's about when Kylie rolled over too. Savannah had been doing it for months b/f Kylie decided it looked like fun. :) We have to get together soon!!! I miss those adorbale babies... and YOU of course! :)

I guess I didn't realize exactly how big they've gotten until I saw that picture of Nathan sitting on that suitcase!

Charlotte rolled at four months and never again. I think she just wanted me to shut up.

SOOO cute! They are getting so big! Seriously before you know it they (at least Nathan) will be walkin all over :)

Yes Tonya had a baby--she is ADORABLE! She was born Dec 13th. When are you coming back in town? I'm thinkin we should have a bbq with Beth, Tonya, and some of the old neighborhood peeps.

I think girls doing things "slower" than boys. But I know nothing. She is so cute! I want a ride on the suitcase, that looks like fun. Those ornaments are very cute!

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU.
