We're getting so big!

I just can't believe how big my babies are getting. I know its a phenomenon every parent experiences... WHERE DID THE TIME GO? They're already 5 months old. Their motor skills have just taken off & they're just getting so.... BIG! They are really fun babies with funny personalities. They both love their baths & love playing with their toys. Alexa has definitely found her voice & she has one volume- LOUD! She screams when she's happy & screams when she's mad. Nathan's new favorite past time is the Jumparoo we borrowed from thier cousin, Savannah. He loves all of the lights, sounds & bouncing! They both love to be sung to & will try to sing along. They are the joys of my life!Nathan's hair, as you have seen, is a bit out of control. It just keeps getting longer & longer on top while some on the sides has fallen out... it's rediculous. We decided against buzzing it but it needed a trim. So I gave him one today. I figured if I messed it up too bad, we'd just buzz it. But I think it turned out ok. I did trim the top a little but not too much. It just wouldn't be our Nathan without the mohawk! Here's the before & after! (He's sick with a cold so that's why he looks so pathetic. Poor baby.)

Time does go by way too fast!! I need to see these little guys... it's been too long. Let's plan something when you get back from Mexico.

They are both just so cute! Love Alexa's bow by the way... totally makes me want another girl. :) But then I see cutie pie Nathan and get so excited that we are having a boy.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to call you. If you've read by blog, you know that no one is napping this week, so there goes any free time... Ahhhh! Plus Kylie has been SO sick since Sunday morning. I will try my very best to call tomorrow, if not HAVE FUN!! And call me when you get back!

I LOVE the bathtime picture! So adorable! I know what you mean by time flying. My emotions are all mixed right now cuz Jaedyn is cutting her first tooth and I am sad that she will lose her adorable little toothless smile but at the same time excited about the jack-o-lantern grin! They're looking so cute Lish! Keep updating pictures cuz they change so fast!

37 Weeks 2 Days

It's almost the end! I saw Dr. Adam last Thursday and I'm starting to spill protein and swell a little. But my BP is good! So we'll see what happens when I see her this Thursday. We may have to deliver early! I have mixed feelings about that because I really wanted to make it to 39 weeks, and my parents can't come until the 14th. But Sam is worried about my kidneys. So we'll see. Baby girl was 6.5 lbs last week. Even if she comes this week, she'll probably be about 7 lbs! Me on the other hand... I've gained 40 lbs! I have 5 lbs to go to be where I was with my other deliveries. Let's see if I get there! :)

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU.
