One Memorable Valentine's Day

This afternoon I took the kids out to deliver little Valentines to some friends & we had a little accident.  Nathan was running to climb back into the van & tripped right before he got there.  Hit smacked his mouth on the step to get into the van & did a lot of damage.  His bottom teeth went completely through his lip, he tore the piece of skin that connects the upper lip & gum and banged up his mouth & teeth pretty bad.  They're really swollen & very sore, poor guy!  I was ready to rush him to the ER or Urgent Care but luckily my level headed husband told me I should call the pedi first.  Since it was before 5 (barely) they got us in!  I was surprised but NO STITCHES!  Just glue on the outside.  It's going to be a rough few days for him with eating.  This picture doesn't even come close to showing how bad it is inside his mouth but I couldn't get him to let me open it or even smile!  Feel better Buddy!!

Poor little guy! :( Must be something in the water... Greg and I spent sveral hours in the ER with McKay last night. Poor baby had to have stitches. :( Not a fun night at all!
Hugs to both you and Nathan. Hope he heels quickly!

Poor little guy! I'm so glad he didn't have to have stitches though. No need for that trauma also!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. 37 Weeks 2 Days

It's almost the end! I saw Dr. Adam last Thursday and I'm starting to spill protein and swell a little. But my BP is good! So we'll see what happens when I see her this Thursday. We may have to deliver early! I have mixed feelings about that because I really wanted to make it to 39 weeks, and my parents can't come until the 14th. But Sam is worried about my kidneys. So we'll see. Baby girl was 6.5 lbs last week. Even if she comes this week, she'll probably be about 7 lbs! Me on the other hand... I've gained 40 lbs! I have 5 lbs to go to be where I was with my other deliveries. Let's see if I get there! :)
