5 Months!

Seriously people, where is the time going? I feel like I put my sweet little newborn down for a nap & when he woke up, he was SO BIG! I wish I could just slow this down! They don't come any cuter, sweeter, snugglier or happier than Maxwell. I am smitten.

Max is sure chunking up too! After 5 months of struggling with nursing, we're done. The formula & cereal Max has been eating has gone straight to his thighs! I love it! I feel sad that it didn't go better but I know I gave it everything I had. Life is much simpler with bottles, that's for sure! I've been a pureeing maniac lately & tomorrow we're going to try our first veggie-- Sweet Potatoes! I'm sure its going to be a big hit. He loves cereal already!

Max has also started rolling over (a few weeks ago) & often sleeps on his tummy now. He's turned into an excellent napper & pretty easy going all around. He's found his voice & likes to use it very LOUDLY! He giggles & smiles often. He's not a big fan of just being left alone to play-- he's social!

One way that Max is like Nathan is that he has HILARIOUS facial expressions & reactions to things. As I was taking this picture above, the face he made just after the flash cracked me up-- so I took a video of it! I don't know if anyone else will think its as funny... but here it is!

He is so super cute! I love what he does after the flash. haha

It's so funny the things we put our kids through just for a laugh. We used to turn on a bulldozer toy when Jackson was little because it made him cry. For some reason, Trapper thought it was hilarious. Or we'd kiss him over and over 'cause his lips would pout after we did it.

haha just kidding that is hilarious! It's 7:30 in the morning and Will and Owen have already watched the video like 10 times. We love and miss you!!

So cute--hey alisha, we are starting Devin on rice cereal today. So, you make your own baby food? I really want to do that this go around. Do you have any tips or websites that are helpful??? Thanks for any info. Amy

What a doll. Each time I see a new picture of him I can't believe how much he looks like Sam. He really is dang cute! Love all the posts so that we can keep up on our family. I wish we all lived closer to each other so we could see each other! We always looked forward to the 2 weeks the "Texas cousins" would come to Utah. It was the best 2 weeks of the year! Party time! You have beautiful kids and you are such a good mommy! Keep up the good work!

It goes WAY too fast huh? We just started Tyson on cereal and he loves it as well..can't wait to start the veggies soon. I want any tips you might have making your own baby food as well!

37 Weeks 2 Days

It's almost the end! I saw Dr. Adam last Thursday and I'm starting to spill protein and swell a little. But my BP is good! So we'll see what happens when I see her this Thursday. We may have to deliver early! I have mixed feelings about that because I really wanted to make it to 39 weeks, and my parents can't come until the 14th. But Sam is worried about my kidneys. So we'll see. Baby girl was 6.5 lbs last week. Even if she comes this week, she'll probably be about 7 lbs! Me on the other hand... I've gained 40 lbs! I have 5 lbs to go to be where I was with my other deliveries. Let's see if I get there! :)

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU. She should get to move to the normal nursery tomorrow m...
