Happy Birthday Sam!

Yesterday was Sam's 30th Birthday! We celebrated at Pappasito's (a yummy Tex-Mex restaurant) with friends from Sam's old work. I know this isn't a great picture but I had to scan it in. How fun, huh? Well, in honor of the big 30th Birthday, I wanted to tell everyone 30 things about my Sammy!

1. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, & lived there for exactly 10 days.
2. He spent the next 5 years in the New Orleans area.
3. He has 3 sisters & no brothers.
4. He moved to Richmond, TX, when he was 5.
5. He has a head of thick red hair he has kept in a military cut since his mission.
6. His middle name is McKay, named after his uncle Michael McKay. April 16th is also uncle Mike's birthday & that's why he's named after him.
7. John & Joan wanted to name him Thomas Edward but Samuel fit him better.
8. He refuses to wear red & doesn't really like when I wear it because of his red hair.
9. He is a picky eater.
10. He is extremely soft spoken & has never raised his voice at me.
11. He loves to watch Animal Planet & the Discovery Channel.
12. He LOVES sports, except soccer.
13. He's had 2 knee surguries.
14. He has an excellent work ethic & is extremely loyal.
15. He is not a morning person & does not like to talk for at least an hour after he wakes up.
16. He's not a night owl either. :)
17. He likes to snuggle with me in the morning.
18. He had a dog for 16 years, Muffy, who we had to put down the summer we moved to Texas. That was one of the hardest things he's ever had to go through.
19. He comes to every single doctor appointment for the babies, even if he has to drive from work for a 15 minute appointment & then drive all of the way back to work.
20. He's going to be an excellent daddy.
21. He served his mission in British Columbia, Canada.
22. He has been a student at 5 different colleges/universities.
23. He graduated in December 2007 with a degree in Accounting from the University of Houston.
24. He's a really good son & brother & is always willing to help his family with whatever they need.
25. He learns extremely quickly.
26. He always opens my door when we get in the car.
27. He has a strong testimony of the gospel.
28. He hates cold weather.
29. All of our nephews LOVE him.
30. He is a wonderful husband & I love him SO much!
