Maxwell's last day of school

Image
Today was Max's last day of school for the year.  I got to go see the kids do a short little program and they were so adorable!  Max had a great year.  He has enjoyed school so much, especially this semester as they have focused on animals with each lesson!  He has learned to write his name, has learned his colors & shapes, and a lot of songs and fun facts about animals.  We're working with him at home on some basic reading and he's doing so well!  Max loves his friends at school, and loves his teacher, Ms. Vanessa.  We look forward to a great year next year!

36 Weeks

Image
Here we are at 36 weeks (on Sunday)! We had our appointment with Dr. Adam today.  Everything is still looking pretty good.  I did have some protein show up in my sample, but just a little.  My blood pressure is still really good.  I'm swelling some in my fingers and ankles but nothing unusual for someone in their last bit of pregnancy. Dr. Adam is concerned with how often I have hard contractions.  They're just Braxton Hicks and don't go anywhere, but it's a risk since I've had C-Sections.  As I get bigger, the contractions put more pressure on my previous incision and scar.  Because of this, she's going to deliver me in my 38th week instead of my 39th.  I'm not scheduled yet, but hopefully I'll know what date it will be when I go in next Tuesday! Can't wait to be done being pregnant & I really can't wait to meet this baby boy!

34 Weeks

Image
Here is me with my big 34 week belly! I had an appointment today with Dr. Adam and everything is still going pretty great!  My kidneys are healthy, blood pressure is low... and then there's my weight.  Well, we won't talk about that! Baby Boy looks fantastic.  He is estimated to be 5 lbs 10 oz. but his head is off the charts for percentile so... he's probably not actually that weight.  I love my Oldroyd boys and their big heads! The highlight of the appointment was getting this 3D shot of him smiling.  He is so adorable and I can't wait to meet him! Dr. Adam did say that things were progressing and I needed to slow down.  I know I've been doing too much with the home renovations and I could tell my contractions were getting more serious.  Then that night, after ignoring my instructions so I could put my laundry room back together, my contractions got to about 3-5 minutes apart.  They weren't painful and stopped when I laid down, but I ...

Max's 4-Year Well Check

Image
Max had his 4-Year well check today with Dr. McDavitt. We talked about the shots and he promised to be brave, with the bribe of a milkshake afterward, of course!  He definitely lived up to his promise.  He got 3 shots and didn't even cry.  What a stud! He's still tall & skinny!  3'7" puts him at 94th% for height, 34.5 lbs puts him at 36th% for weight! Here's a little bit about my Maxwell: He LOVES animals.  Particularly baby animals.  He is always pretending to be a different one, and loves little tiny baby animal toys. He's still a mama's boy, and seems to be getting more attached the closer I get to delivering his baby brother.   Even though I know it'll be a little hard on him, he is SUPER excited about the baby.  He loves to feel him kick, talk to him, and he always tells me how much he'll help with him. He's an instigator and loves to pick on Nathan & Alexa He loves to ride his bike! He has been in preschool with...

School Time

Image
Because of work and growing a baby, I haven't been able to spend as much time at Nathan & Alexa's school as I would have liked.  But this month I was able to go a couple of times and it was so much fun! On the 17th, the Kindergartners did their egg drops.  The night before, we made a special box for their eggs (which I, of course, didn't get a picture of).  We put the egg inside a ziplock bag full of saltwater, then in a bigger ziplock back.  We then packed it inside the box full of giant sized marshmallows and popcorn.  Nathan & Alexa each decorated theirs with markers & stickers. The egg drop event at school was so much fun!  The Assistant Principal went as high as the roof of the school on a cherry picker & dropped the packages by class.  Both Nathan & Alexa's eggs survived!  Here are my two cuties waiting for their turn! Then today, Max was on a field trip for school so I was able to sign up to volunteer at "T...

Max's Birthday Celebrations

Image
Max had a great birthday week!  We started with a family party combined with our Easter meal.  Since the only thing Max really wanted to eat for his birthday was cake, I didn't think he'd mind the ham and potatoes!  He got some fun presents- A stuffed elephant and game from Grandma & Grandpa, Beyblades from the cousins, and a horse trailer from Aunt Marianne.   He wanted red cupcakes so he got Red Velvet - my favorite! Tuesday was his actual birthday.  He had school, so he chose to take donuts as his treat.  Then when he got home, he wanted to watch Frozen... TWICE!  So we snuggled up on the LuvSac and did just so.  I may have gotten a nap in there somewhere... For dinner, Max wanted pizza.  So we had a yummy family dinner at Grimaldi's! And finally time for presents... he got Disney Planes shooters from his siblings, Duplo Legos from Grandma & Grandpa Partridge, and his favorite new toy... a new bike! I w...

32 Week Dr. Appointment

Image
We had a great appointment with Dr. Adam today.  She expressed how she kept waiting for something to go wrong & is amazed it hasn't!  I couldn't agree more!  What a blessing my health has been during this pregnancy so far. Baby Boy is growing great - estimated at 4 lbs. 10 oz. (bigger than Alexa was at birth!) and about 58th%.  Oh and don't worry, he'll fit right in with his brothers and their big noggins. His head was 89th%! We scheduled a C-Section for June 10th (39 weeks, 2 days) but Dr. Adam doesn't think I'll make it that long.  I'm still not totally decided on which hospital to deliver at so I'm actually scheduled at 2 of them!  It'll depend on if my kidneys stay healthy or not. He still has fluid in his kidneys but it hasn't gotten worse, which is good.  I also still have a bit higher amniotic fluid levels than normal, but not too crazy, so no worries there.  We didn't get any good pictures, but will be back to look at him ...
