32 Week Dr. Appointment

We had a great appointment with Dr. Adam today.  She expressed how she kept waiting for something to go wrong & is amazed it hasn't!  I couldn't agree more!  What a blessing my health has been during this pregnancy so far.

Baby Boy is growing great - estimated at 4 lbs. 10 oz. (bigger than Alexa was at birth!) and about 58th%.  Oh and don't worry, he'll fit right in with his brothers and their big noggins. His head was 89th%!

We scheduled a C-Section for June 10th (39 weeks, 2 days) but Dr. Adam doesn't think I'll make it that long.  I'm still not totally decided on which hospital to deliver at so I'm actually scheduled at 2 of them!  It'll depend on if my kidneys stay healthy or not.

He still has fluid in his kidneys but it hasn't gotten worse, which is good.  I also still have a bit higher amniotic fluid levels than normal, but not too crazy, so no worries there.  We didn't get any good pictures, but will be back to look at him in 2 weeks!

My mom booked her flight to fly in May 31st - June 16th.  Can't wait for Grandma to come!

We're right in the middle of some home renovations and as soon as that is done, I'll finish up getting ready for baby.  I am so excited to meet him!

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU.
