5 Years ago we were here: Look what we've made since then: For this and many other reasons, I would call these past five years a success! I love you babe. Happy Anniversary.

Hubby Tag

So very little on this blog is about Sam so I thought I'd do this hubby tag that I saw on Jennifer's & Liz's blog. 1. He's sitting in front of the tv. What's on the screen? Sports of any kind. It doesn't even have to be a team he likes-- just boring mind numbing sports. Or maybe Discovery Channel when we had cable. 2. You are out to eat. What dressing does he get on his salad? Ranch, ranch and more ranch. (What is it with these boys?) 3. What's one food he doesn't like? Most Casseroles 4. You go out to a bar. What does he drink first? A virgin martini. LOL (My cute husband knows even less than me about alcoholic drinks. On our cruise he asked me if I thought he could get a virgin martini. I told him yes-- if all he wanted was an olive & maybe a splash of water! Cute cute Sammy) 5. Where did he go to high school? Kempner High here in Sugar Land 6. If he were to collect anything, what would it be? Pens. The boy loves his pens. 7. What shoe si...

There's a website that allows you to make your own snowflake. It's kinda fun! Here are the ones I've done so far (the first one is way lame):

Gettin ready for Christmas...

Image
I finally got Alexa's new bows & head bands in the mail yesterday so I decided to dress the babies up in their Christmas duds. My sister found them & got matching ones for her kids as well. We're doing a big family picture on Christmas Eve at my parents house! They looked SO adorable-- Nathan's hair though... I just don't know what to do about it! It just GOES that way! I am so excited to head off to Utah on Tuesday but have so much to do that I don't know where to start. I did finally finish up on my Christmas shopping yesterday; all but a couple of things. I hate Christmas shopping unless I know the PERFECT gift to get someone. Which this year, I don't know the perfect gifts for anyone. Oh well, you win some, you loose some, right? I know many people reading this are my Utah friends & family so I have to put this out there-- I will do my best to see ALL of my family & I know I will see a few friends as well but I'm not going to be a...

Long Overdue

(3 posts in one day-- woah!) I am WAY behind but I am finally posting some pictures of the babies that my wonderful & talented friend Melanie took way back at the end of October. Nathan & Alexa didn't behave completely but Melanie still got some BEAUTIFUL shots. Here are some of my favorites: That last one is my absolute favorite . Isn't it a gorgeous shot?? THANK YOU MELANIE!

It is FINALLY time!

We finally met in our new church building today. It is BEAUTIFUL. The best part about it-- it's exactly .6 miles from our house. Our old church building was at least a 15 minute drive. I just LOVE how close it is! The building is really nice too. It even SMELLS new. Well, except for the mother's lounge. Nathan took care of that today with the biggest blow out of his life. He just wanted to do his part to break in the new building. Anyhow, I am so excited that my kids will have the opportunity, as I did (growing up in Utah) to WALK to church. How fun! I stole this picture from my friend's blog-- Thanks Lori!

Big Steps

Nathan & Alexa had their 4 month check up on Thursday. Here are their stats: Nathan: 25 1/2 inches long (50th%), 13 lbs. 12 oz. (25th%) Alexa: 24 1/4 inches long (50th%), 10 lbs. 14 oz. (10th%) So they're growing! The shots weren't as bad (for me) this time because Sam was with me & I had him do the shots thing while I left the room with the other baby. Nathan & Alexa also seemed to do better with the shots. Last time Alexa really didn't feel well but she was ok this time. The pediatrician also gave us the go ahead to start solids. We tried rice cereal this morning! It was so fun! The babies, of course, didn't quite know what to do with the spoon but we think they swallowed at least SOME of the cereal. We also had another "first" last night. Sam & I went to his work Christmas party & left the babies home with Grandma Joan & Aunt Marianne. We had never left them at night to go out until now (how did 4 months pass without a date...
