Tag... You're it!!

I'm so excited! I've never been tagged before! Thanks Rachelle! So I'm supposed to tell you all 6 things about me. I may have a hard time doing this... I'm kind of chatty so most people that know me fairly well know EVERYTHING about me! I'll do my best to shock and AMAZE you! 1. I was born 3 1/2 weeks late. My poor mother. I was due July 24th and born August 18th in the hot summer of 1982. They didn't take me earlier because I was so small they had thought they got the due date wrong. But my mom knows it was right. My dad always says, "You were born 3 1/2 weeks late and have been late ever since!" Ha ha. Funny dad. 2. Related to all of that; I didn't double my birth weight until I was a year and a half old. (Wish I had that "to skinny" problem now!) They thought I had Cystic Fibrosis because I was a good eater but couldn’t gain weight. I had some other signs too. The day before I was tested for CF, my friends and family prayed and fasted...

I'm back! (For now)

Hello all! I know I've been MIA lately and I actually have done things I could post but alas, the blogging bug wore off for a bit and I was occupied with other things! Oh but don't worry; I still check all of YOUR blogs. :) So anyway, I just wanted to post this cute picture of Sam and me. This was not our engagement picture but it was taken while while we were engaged. During Thanksgiving 2003 at the Oldroyd's (and my first time meeting the whole fam) we had family pictures taken. So this was taken then and it's actually my favorite picture of Sam and me. Our engagement one is good too (although I don't have it on my computer). So anyway- here it is. Aren't we cute? Here's what's been happening around here this past month: school, Sam being in school full time and working (graduating in December! Yay!), called to Activity Days at church, Partridge family vacation to Corpus Christi, brother Zack getting mission call to Washington DC South, and ...

Move over David Beckham... Edward Cullen is my new love!

For those you who know me, you know that I have what you might call an addictive/obsessive personality. Ice cream doesn't stay around long because it "calls to me" from the freezer, if I watch a TV show from the beginning, I can't give it up no matter how dumb it is, etc... Well the same goes for books. If I like a book, I read it until it's DONE. Nothing short of necessary activities can pull me away from a good... no... an ENTHRALLING book. I had heard whisperings of a book called "Twilight." By an LDS author, love story, vampires... blah blah blah. I was like, "Uh... I'm not reading a book about Vampires.... Seriously..." Well, my smugness is gone and I'm SMITTEN. While in Dallas this past week (pictures coming soon) I casually picked up a book that my sister-in-law had yet to get to. (Imagine that... a newborn and 2 other children... why wouldn't she have time for books?!?!) I was hooked from the first page. I started ...

Questions that haunt me...

I got this email from my sister-in-law. It made me laugh enough I thought I'd post it! QUESTIONS THAT HAUNT ME Can you cry under water? How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered? Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. But it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to? Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity? Why does a round pizza come in a square box? What disease did cured ham actually have? How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage? Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours? If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing? Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV? Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things ...

A Quarter Century Old...

Hello hello everyone. For those of you who missed it, (and I don't know how how you could seeing as I had a countdown on this very blog) my 25th birthday happened last Saturday! It was a great day and since I got a lot of cards/presents late; a great week! I love those extended birthdays!! I got my first birthday present way back in June but I won't post a picture of it here because... well... all you'd have to do is look at almost every other post to see it. To give you another hint, Sam calls it a "black and white pooping machine." Fast forwarding to August 17th, Sam b rought lilies home for me which are still blooming and beautiful. My first birthday card was also received a day earlier and it was from my fabulous friend Kiera whom I've known since I was 2. A delivery came the morning of my birthday and that was another bouquet of flowers (roses), this time from Justin & Tiffany. That night, some wonderful friends joined us for a birthday di...

Is 2 posts in a row about my puppy pathetic?

Pepper's ears have a mind of their own. When she sleeps they get floppy. Sometimes they flop to the side & sometimes they flop forward. As she plays around, they start to come up again; but always her right ear before her left. No, it's not normal... but hey, neither are we! I think she's adorable, if you can't tell. Someday I'll have actually children to blog about. But until then, all who love me will just have to read about my dogs! And don't worry... when I'm back in school I won't have time to catch every cute moment of Pepper's life with a camera and post it!
