Summer Trip 2013 - Last Stop: The Cabin
We spent the last 5 days of our trip down at Grandma & Grandpa's cabin in Duck Creek - one of our FAVORITE places in the world! Summer is the ideal time to be there. The scenery is breathtaking & it is so peaceful.
We took a day trip over to Zion National Park. One of the best parts was that Aunt Vicki drove over from California & stopped to see us! We talked her into coming with us & we had a blast. (Daddy had to stay at the cabin - he didn't feel well!)
Nathan & Alexa got some great stuff from our family! One thing we've learned is that Alexa doesn't show much excitement. Maybe she gets nervous being the center of attention, who knows! They got bikes from Mommy & Daddy but since we couldn't bring them on the trip, we printed pictures of the bikes for them to open. It was a little confusing... but they were excited once they saw them in person!
We had a wonderful family dinner Saturday night. Sitting out on the deck eating is pure Heaven.
And an extra special bonus for Alexa on her birthday: she got to change her earrings for the first time! Cupcakes for the birthday girl!
We headed for Texas the next day. We had a great time & made great memories! We were definitely happy to get home & sleep in our own beds. And we missed all of the puppies! As they say, there's no place like home!

We got a little hot from all of the hiking so Grandpa treated us to some ice cream!
A very special event happened while at the cabin. My babies turned FIVE! We had 2 days of celebration. We did their party on Saturday while Grammy & Grandpa Great could be there. Then we celebrated a little on their actual birthday (Sunday) as well. Nathan & Alexa got some great stuff from our family! One thing we've learned is that Alexa doesn't show much excitement.
