My big 1 year old!

I took my big one-year-old to the pediatrician this morning.  He's growing growing growing! 
Weight: 21 lbs 12 oz. (30th %)
Height: 31 3/4 in. (92nd %)
Head: 19 in. (91st %)

Tall & skinny & cuter than ever!  

The appointment went well.  Max was, as always, a charmer (until the vaccinations, of course).  The nurse & doctor love him!  He looks just great except his gross motor skills.  The pediatrician is referring him to ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) for some physical therapy.  It's funded through the state & they come to the home.  I'm really looking forward to it!  Hopefully they can get him moving!  

I feel like a broken record but I seriously love Love LOVE this kid!  He is such a joy to have in our family & I can't imagine life without him.

He is sooo cute! Taylor was in Early Intervention for speech therapy, and I LOVED it. They had a speech therapist come 2x a month, and the case worker came 2x a month and the case worker helped with his behavior. I loved that program. Good luck!

If you ever want to do private physical therapy, I love the place where kylie goes. Hopefully though ECI is all he needs. Good luck! And he is adorable!!

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU.
