Update

We had a doctor appointment this morning & everything went really well. Again, no good pictures... I love Dr. Adam but clearly getting us good ultrasound pictures is NOT her priority! But that's ok. As for their weight, I was wrong in the last post. The babies were in the 21st & 24th percentiles for size. But they grew a lot in 2 weeks and are now in the 29th & 34th! Baby boy is 1 lb. 10 oz & baby girl is 1 lb. 8 oz. So they're still little but doing well! Everything else looks good & she just reminded me to keep taking if very easy & drink lots of water, which I do, thanks to Sam (a.k.a. the Water Nazi). I also got the "ok" to go to the pool! So what if I look like Shamoo?

Alisha-I am getting more and more excited for you each time I see your blog. Water is my friend, but not my finger's...they're so swollen that I can't even wear my "back up" ring!!! At least I don't have the "kankels" yet ;)

Lish you look so adorable! Don't worry about the khaki pants... my baby was worth more than any cute pants. Plus the weight comes off fast... half of it is just water so plan for frequent trips to the potty and invest in some soft TP!

Today we got together with another set of twins! Caden & Addison are just a month younger than Nathan & Alexa and were born at Texas Women's also! I met their mom (Laurie) through an email list I got on while on bed rest in the hospital. There was another mom who was supposed to join us who also has boy/girl twins their age-- but she couldn't make it. What a picture that would have been!

Nathan McKay Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:37 a.m., weighs 5 lbs. 8.5 oz, & is 20 in. long Alexa Dawn Oldroyd Born August 4th at 6:38 a.m., weighs 4 lbs. 5.5 oz, & is 1 6.75 in. long We are so excited that they are finally here! The C-Section went very well & Alisha is recovering well, with the help of pain meds! Nathan needs quite a bit of help with breathing but is improving. We’re told that he may get his ventilator tube out today & they would help him breathe using a C-pap. He breathes ok on his own so he mostly now just needs some pressure to remind him to breathe. He is still in the highest level of the NICU but is doing well. He’ll be in there for at least a few days after we get to go home. Alexa is tiny but doing extremely well. Alisha was able to hold her while still in the OR before she needed some oxygen help. She only had to stay on the oxygen until 11 a.m. and is still in the lower level NICU.
